Bażanowice is a village situated in the valley of Bobrowka river, 3 km west from Goleszow, within the limits of the hills of Teschen Foothills. In town live about 1100 residents.
First notice about this town comes from 1523. It was a noble village. After 1780 Saint Genois have given Bazanowice up to archducal chamber.

In 1824 Pawel Stalmach was born in Bazanowice, the activist of merit of Teschen Silesia of merit and the Polish rights ativist during germanization period, co-founder of the first in Teschen Silesia „The Teschen Weekly Magazine”, later „Little Star of Teschen”, the creator of School Mother that had a great impact on defending Polishness and propagating national awareness.

In 1930 at the heritage of National Higher School of Rural Farming in Teschen, School Dairy was established in Bazanowice. In 1933 in the old archducal distillery, The Experimental Cheese Curing Station. Its aim was to work out methods to produce emmental cheese, carrying research on quality and qualification of milk to use in producing this kind of cheese, providing technical service to emmental cheesemakers that cooperated with the Station and educating trainees. To this very day, the dairy is producing „emmentals” and other dairy products.

Bazanowice is proud of having the so-called castle. It is brick, four-side, one floor building, built probably at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and thouroughly remade in 1894. Its basements and vestibule have cradled vaulting. The date 1839 and crest are situated on the front wall of the building. The roof is covered with tiles. Single-storeyed and cellared farm building with its windows semicircularly finished within alcoves and double-sloped roof is located next to the castle. Another farm building is single-storeyed and of a lengthened rectangular shape. From Southern West of a building, there is a note: E.H. ALBRECHT and a date 1857.

Late baroque (from 1770) stone sculpture of st. John Nepomucen on ornamental pedestal with unrecognised crest is being located nearby the castle, in the alley of a ripe limes.

Amongst the new buildings in Bazanowice, Evangelical Church of Augsburg glassed building built in 1981 based on Stanislaw Kwasniewicz design, draws people's attention.
